UPDATE: Wanted man connected to fatal collision arrested

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. – A wanted man has been apprehended in connection with a fatal collision in Madison County.

According to an arrest citation, 45-year-old Curtis D. Jackson of Barea was arrested on Sept. 30 on charges of vehicular homicide while under the influence of drugs/substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), operating a motor vehicle under the influence alcohol/substance, second offense (aggravated circumstances), third-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first offense, disregard – failure to yield right of way and excessive windshield/window tinting.

Troopers say Jackson was wanted on an arrest warrant after an investigation into a collision in Madison County on Feb. 19 that killed 25-year-old Jeffrey L. Crowe.

Troopers say the crash occurred on Mt. Vernon Road (US-25) in Berea.

Jackson’s pretrial conference is scheduled for Jan. 9 at 2 p.m.
